Which countries accept the Duolingo English Test?
The Duolingo English Test is accepted in over 110 countries, including the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
It is most widely accepted in the USA, where the vast majority of colleges and universities are now accepting DET results. This makes sense because Duolingo is based in the USA (in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania specifically). Now that the DET is widely accepted in the USA, Duolingo is now concentrating on getting it accepted in schools in other countries.
So, if a school you would like to apply to does not accept the DET right now, you should check again closer to the application deadline because there is certainly a chance that they will have started accepting it!
Duolingo maintains the complete list of accepting schools at: englishtest.duolingo.com/institutions.
