Available Accommodations for PTE Test Takers

Pearson lists out many available accommodations:

Your letter also needs to be in English. If you need to translate your letter, you make sure that it is done by a licensed translator.

How to Request Accommodations for PTE

Follow these steps to request accommodations:

  1. Create an Account: Sign up on the Pearson PTE website.
  2. Fill Out the Form: Complete the appropriate accommodation request form.
  3. Submit Early: Send your request at least six weeks before your test date.

If you have a hand injury that will interfere with the palm vein scan, be sure to request an accommodation before test day. Otherwise, you won't be allowed to take the test and your test fee will not be refunded.

Comfort Aids Allowed in the Test Room

You can bring certain comfort aids into the test room without a prior request. These include:

  • Unwrapped cough drops
  • Medical devices like insulin pumps

All items will be checked by the Test Administrator to ensure compliance with test rules.
